KJ will play in his fifth World Cup of Golf event of his career representing South Korea at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club. His partner will be fellow golfer Bae Sang-Moon. This world cup is Bae's first world cup event, and he has commented that he is very happy to play with KJ. KJ's personal trainer, swing coach, and former caddy are all from Australia, where KJ spent a few years during the early beginnings of his golf career.
KJ feels very comfortable at this course and has confidence that he will be able to represent his country well. KJ is equipped this week with a new Ping i20 iron set that gives him the high trajectory that he wants with a lot of spin for optimal control to attack the pin.
Q: How do you feel about your practice rounds?
KJ: I think they went great. The greens are fast, but I'm seeing the line really well.
Q: How do you feel about playing with Sang Moon?
KJ: He's a great player and I'm really looking forward to it. We are a good team.
Q: How's the weather in Australia?
KJ: Oh, so wonderful. It's constantly in the mid 70's to low 80's. Better than the weather in Dallas!
KJ is very excited to play in this event and has confidence and high hopes to shoot some low rounds. Go Tank!
